Highly purified bioactive proteins from New Zealand milk.
Tatua’s specialty protein isolates are extracted from fresh, pasteurised New Zealand bovine milk using an ion exchange chromatography process then freeze-dried to retain native structure and full biological functionality.

Lactoferrin
Lactoferrin is an iron-binding globular glycoprotein naturally present in mammalian milk. It is widely recognised for its potential to provide antibacterial, antiviral, and immunomodulatory support across all life stages, from infants through to adults.
Tatua manufactures Lactoferrin at two purity levels – 90% and 95% – both freeze-dried from fresh New Zealand milk to preserve native structure and bioactivity.
| Product Name | Protein | Lactoferrin (% of Protein) | LPO (% of Protein) | Features & Benefits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lactoferrin 90% | >98% | >90% | N/A | Antibacterial Antiviral Immunomodulatory |
| Lactoferrin 95% | >98% | >95% | N/A | Antibacterial Antiviral Immunomodulatory |
Co-Isolate
Tatua Co-isolate is a blend of Lactoferrin and Lactoperoxidase, combining the antibacterial, antiviral, and immunomodulatory properties of both proteins in a single ingredient.
It typically contains greater than 40% Lactoferrin and greater than 18% Lactoperoxidase as a proportion of total protein. Produced from fresh New Zealand milk using ion exchange chromatography and freeze-dried to maintain native protein structure and biological functionality.
